About the Author
Rich Bishop
Name: Rich Bishop
Age: 24 (and I share my birthday with Richard Branson and Nelson Mandela so I'm in good company!)
Lives: Coventry
Favourite film?
Wow - there's a question... I have about 20 favourite films - from Carry On Films to Home Alone and Police Academy, but then also films like Hanna where you just totally immersed in the whole thing.
Favourite music?
Any good pop or party tune is good for me - but to be honest, anything except hardcore RnB. My ex-housemate tried to disprove this theory once by taking me to a
Lacuna Coil gig because it would be too heavy for me... but no, loved it!
Favourite gadget?
My Google Nexus One! When Google make a phone they make it just was good as everything else they do, this has completely changed how I work and play, and I was offered an upgrade recently and turned it down, because after 18 months of this phone, I don't need to upgrade!
Favourite game?
For a geek - I'm not a gamer - at all! The last computer game I played was an MS-DOS Game "Microprose - Transport Tycoon" circa 1994 -
check out these graphics!
Favourite book?
I would love to read more (sadly my Xdyslia gets in the way of that) but the book that changed my life forever... "Loosing My Virginity - Richard Branson"
Favourite TV programme?
Have I Got News For You - 21 years old and still going strong!
Favourite biscuit and do you dunk?
Has to be the Chocolate Covered Hobnob! And of course I dunk - although my favourite trick is drinking a cup of coffee through a Cadbury's Twirl. Go on, you know you want to try it!
Most embarrassing moment?
On a sixth-form trip to Disney Land Paris (honestly it was educational, well nearly) we took advantage of the legal age of drinking being 16 in France, so had a night of Vodka and Orange (look at us go!). I fell asleep for some reason, but woke up to find the whole room of people laughing out loud - at me. Then someone asked how my chickens were. I've never had any live chickens, but it turns out I was talking in my sleep and telling them all that they "needed to be burying the dead chickens, not just throw them away". Several years later I'm still asked how my chickens are.
Childhood hero?
Max from "Max's Millions" and Richard Branson (third time in one profile... obsessed!)
If you had a time machine where would you go with it?
Because I'm a geek, I would go back to the early 1980s, for when the great minds of the day were starting to create the first home computers -
for my reasons why have a look at this clip
The Fast Show is back?! All I can say is “brilliant!”
Was this before my time? No idea what this is lol.. 17 years ago… WOW! You guys are ANCIENT! Hahaha!!
I have never watched The Fast Show, neither do I recognise any of the Characters but I have heard of it. I hear it was quite famous back in the day, well before my time
